The adaptation of scissors staircase leads to the progressive articulation of the building plans complying with the local socio-economic constrains in Hong Kong. Scissors staircase lives in the core of almost every building in the contemporary city and its formulated interventions still resonance in the architecture of our present time. Though we seldom walk from one storey to another by intervention, this syndrome of rare encounter in scissors staircases brings us to a psychological displacement, where the context is misplaced and we often are disorientated by the journey.
